Since it was redesigned for 2015, the new 2017 Toyota Camry comes with same exterior design as its predecessor. It still uses the basic concept of Camry series without any improvements on its look.It is available in four trim levels: LE, XLE, SE and XSE. The base LE Camry comes as standard with projector-beam halogen headligths with Daytime running lights and chromed upper grille. Higher trim levels come with LED Low and Hi beam headlights with auto on/off function. Outside mirrors are heated with body color paint. When it comes to wheels, the new Camry starts with 16-inch steel wheels while higher models are available with 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels. There are ten exterior colors available: Super White, Predawn Gray Mica, Blizzard Pearl, Cosmic Gray Mica, Celestial Silver Metallic, Midnight Black Metallic, Ruby Flare Pearl, Crème Brulee Mica, Parisian Night Pearl and Blue Streak Metallic.

New Toyota Camry 2017 interior changes


In the terms of interior, the new Toyota Camry 2017 also undergoes some alterations. Interior of the new Camry is equipped with premium soft-touch materials. Depending on chosen model, upholstery varies from fabric to genuine leather trim for more luxurious feel. Console tray now has more storage room for small parts and storage box is equipped with a convenient power source. All trim levels are equipped with a 4.2-inch TFT screen that is placed between Optitron gauges. There are plenty of information available on this screen – navigation, multimedia content, communications, warnings and since it is connected with Tire Pressure Monitoring System it displays the pressure in each tire.

Smaller engine delivers 178 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque while V6 is capable to produce 268 horses and 248 lb-ft of torque. Both engines comes paired with 6-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy is same as before: 24/33 mpg for I-4 and 21/30 mpg of city/highway driving. There is 2017 Toyota Camry Hybrid available with 200 System net horsepower, 200 lb-ft of torque and 42 city/38 highway mpg of fuel economy. It combines 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine (156 HP/156 lb-ft) with electric motor (105 kW/199 lb-ft).

When equipped with the Pre-Collision System with automatic emergency braking the new Toyota Camry 2017 got IIHS Top Safety Pick+. This system is a part of the Technology package that also offers Auto High Beam, Lane Departure Alert and Dynamic Cruise Control. The 2017 Toyota Camry price stays on the same level as before. That means that its MSRP goes from $23,070 for base 4-cylinder LE model to $31,370 for top XSE model with V6 engine. When it comes to hybrid its price goes from $26,790 to $30,140. All these prices doesn’t include $835 of delivery charge.
