The upcoming 2016 Toyota Corolla will be more carry over from the current Corolla than new Toyota model. It will come with same engines and with slightly changed exterior look. When Toyota Corolla 2016 comes to market it will keep the current model price.
2016 Toyota Corolla redesign
The small exterior changes we expect that we see on upcoming 2016 Toyota Corolla. Its conservative design was only “flaw” if we compare it to its competition. So it could get some minor changes like sharper edges and bolder front fascia that will give it more aggressive appearance. Interior of the Toyota Corolla 2016 will be very useful and practical as almost all Toyota models. If we could make any remark on current model it is its headroom lack that the next model should override. The base model usually comes with plenty of equipment and high quality materials. The new Corolla will feature automatic climate control, Entune audio system, keyless entry, satellite navigation, power moonroof, and many more.
Toyota Corolla 2016 engine
The powerplant lineup for the 2016 Toyota Corolla should be same as for current model. Both available engines will be 1.8-liter inline-4 but with different power output. All trim levels except higher trim will be equipped with base engine that will be able to deliver 132 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque. The higher LE Eco grade will be powered by petrol engine with 140 horsepower and 126 lb-ft of torque. The Toyota Corolla 2016 engines are going to be paired with one of three available transmissions: 6-speed manual, 4-speed automatic and CVTi-S automatic. All trim levels will have various fuel consumptions depending on engine and its paired gearbox. If we consider that all engines will be the same as the current model than we can presume that fuel economy will be almost same. Base L model with both transmissions will have fuel consumption rated at around 31 mpg. LE grade with CVTi-S automatic transmission will be rated at 32 mpg, S at 32 mpg and around 34 mpg combined for LE Eco trim level.
2016 Toyota Corolla release date and price
The 2016 Toyota Corolla release should be at the end of 2015 or early 2016. Price of the upcoming model should be too much different than the cost of 2015 model. That means that the base model of Toyota Corolla 2016 should have base price around $17,000.
