2016 Lexus ES 350 redesign, changes, review

Lexus, Toyota’s luxury car division, has some plans of presenting new upgraded models in next Car Shows. There are some models that were upgraded with previous year and one of those vehicles is 2016 Lexus ES 350. It continues with reputation of midsize luxury sedan with inner space of its larger cousins. The new Lexus ES 350 2016 comes with refreshed exterior look but with some new details on its exterior and inside the cabin.

2016 Lexus ES redesign

The design of the new 2016 Lexus ES is slightly changed comparing to its predecessor. The new ES is built on the same platform that was provided for 2014 year model. Mainly we can say that its look is similar to Toyota Avalon. The front fascia is recognizable by its large Lexus spindle grille flanked by LED headlights and daytime running lights. Its coupe-like design helps with its aerodynamics and sound insulation. IT is now available with new exterior colors: Autumn Shimmer, Nightfall Mica, Caviar and Eminent White Pearl.

Interior of the Lexus ES 2016 is luxurious as we expect from Lexus vehicles. Spacious cabin comes with 10-way powered front seats, leather upholstery, automatic climate control and wooden details. Panoramic roof and Mark Levinson audio system is now available with all packages. It will be available with plenty of safety features like a Precollision system, Lane Departure Alert, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The new infotainment system, Enform, is available in 2016 model also. It also comes with Destination Services, App Suite, a built-in backup camera, and Remote Touch.

The Lexus ES 350 2016 is available with only on engine. The base engine is 3.5-liter V6 that we could see in previous year model. Just like before this powerplant delivers 268 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque. The new ES 350 is also available with 6-speed automatic transmission which influences on its fuel economy which is rated at 31 mpg of open road drive.

The 2016 Lexus ES hybrid combines a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine with electric motor and this combination produce around 200 of total horsepower. This engine comes in combination with Electronic continuously variable transmission (CVT) and with it driver of the car can choose between four drive modes: Normal, Sport, Eco and EV. With 40 mpg of combined fuel consumption this luxury sedan is very competitive in its class.

2016 Lexus ES 350 release date and price

The new 2016 Lexus ES 350 could come to the dealerships in late months of 2015. It will be produce in Toyota plant in Georgetown, Kentucky. With minor modifications in its exterior and interior its price will not be too much different than the 2015 model price tag. That means that Lexus ES 350 2016 base price will be $38,000 while the Hybrid model comes with $40,920 of base price. Those prices are without $940 for destination charges.
